Allah SWT says in Surah Al-Qasas verse 56:
إنك لا تهدي من أحببت ولكن الله يهدي من يشاء وهو أعلم بالمهتدين
Surely you can not provide guidance on a loved one, but God alone can provide guidance to whoever He wills. And He Know about those who are guided.
