GAP blogger commenting on a statement Associate Professor Dr David Lawrence Noel Wells from Australia, three defense witnesses on behalf of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
According to The Malaysian Insider, Dr Wells forensic experts paid Anwar said the sperm specimen taken from the anal Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan can not be used as evidence in the sodomy case because it was affected and only obtained 56 hours after the alleged sexual contact occurred.

Bernama reported that Dr. Wells when asked (Anwar's lawyers, Sankara Nair) describe smear samples taken when Mohd Saiful complained about sexual assault, whether the correct procedures have been used, Dr Wells said he did not hesitate with the procedure.
However, he stressed that smear storage is important to make a DNA profile.

He explained the proper way to keep the smear after it has taken the air in the specimen container must be dried or frozen immediately and sent to the laboratory as soon as possible.
To a question whether acceptable Nair, he arrived at the laboratory nearly 43 hours after the smear is taken, Dr Wells said: "It certainly is not very good"
